Represented by our partner France Energies Marines, the FLOATFARM project will be showcased during the event “Floating Offshore Wind Turbine” on April 24-26 2024 in Marseille (France).

After the FOWT event in Marseille (24-26 April), the FLOATFARM project will be represented by various partners during the TORQUE 2024, in May 29-31 2024 in Florence.

In collaboration with the University of Naples Federico II, our partner Seapower Scrl is setting up a workshop dedicated to Floating Offshore Wind. This workshop will be a great opportunity to talk about the FLOATFARM project, namely thanks to a presentation “Research as support for industrial development: the FLOATFARM project” that will be made by our partner from UNiFi.

The conference brings together all types of actors (universities, research, industries, developers fishing operators, ports, interested bodies and organisations), who will participate in the development of floating wind fields in the Italian seas and aims to contribute to the construction of an all-Italian supply chain for the research, development and production of offshore wind turbines floating offshore wind turbines, which represent a concrete possible contribution to the solution of the Italian energy problem.
This second edition of the workshop will also focus on the difficulties related to authorisation procedures, the environmental impact, the involvement of the fishing, and on the particular challenges of the Italian seas, which in addition to having high depths have low average winds, making the cost of energy higher than other European countries.

FLOATFARM was proudly showcased at the WindEurope Annual Event 2025, one of Europe’s premier gatherings for the wind energy sector. Representing the consortium, Alessandro and project coordinator Joseph Saverin presented the project’s objectives, shared ongoing developments, and highlighted the importance of collaboration between industry and academia. The event provided an excellent platform to engage with key stakeholders and communicate FLOATFARM’s vision for the future of floating wind technology.

The WindEurope Annual Event 2025 featured a comprehensive conference program, an extensive exhibition with over 500 exhibitors across the wind energy value chain, and valuable networking opportunities. Discussions focused on the latest advancements in wind technology, policy developments, and strategies to drive the growth of the sector.

FLOATFARM will be present at FOWT 2025, the world’s leading event dedicated to floating offshore wind. This international conference brings together key players from across the sector to discuss innovation, challenges, and the future of floating wind technology.

Consortium partners SOWENTO, France Energies Marines and Innosea will take part in the event, contributing to networking, business development, and showcasing FLOATFARM’s progress within the floating wind community.
