FLOATFARM is progressing: check our deliverables!

For the past 18 months, FLOATFARM has been working in line with its Work plan. Since its launch, 5 deliverables have been approved by the European Commission and published on our website. We dedicate this article to the description of these 5 deliverables to give you key insights from the development of the project. You can also consult our page in the Outputs section to find the full list of deliverables.

2 deliverables publicaly available for download

  • D7.1 An Interface of QBlade to the Framework for Floating Offshore Turbine Design Optimization WEIS: This document presents the interface between the aero-hydro-servo-elastic simulation tool QBlade and the holistic optimization framework called WEIS (Wind Energy integrated Servo-Controls), henceforth called QBtoWEIS, that was developed in Task 7.1 of WP7 of FLOATFARM. This integration provides the basis for several optimization and design tasks within Work Packages (WPs) 1-6 and is therefore essential for successful achievement of FLOATFARM objectives. This document should be read as a guide to the public release of QBtoWEIS, which is the actual deliverable.
  • D7.2 An Interface of HAWC2 to the Framework for Floating Offshore Turbine Design Optimization WEIS: This document presents the interface between the HAWC2 (Horizontal Axis Wind turbine simulation Code 2nd generation) [1] aero-hydro-servo-elastic simulation tool and the WEIS (Wind Energy with Integrated Servo-control) holistic floating offshore wind turbine optimization framework [2], henceforth termed WEIS HAWC2, that was developed under Task 7.1 of WP7 of FLOATFARM. This integration provides the basis for several optimization and design tasks within Work Packages 1-6 and is therefore essential for the successful achievement of FLOATFARM’s objectives. This document should be read as a guide to the public release of WEIS-HAWC2, which is the actual deliverable.

3 sensitive deliverables

Due to the senstive caracter of 3 deliverables, only executive summaries are available for:

  • D9.1 Project and Quality Management Plan: The aim of this deliverable is to define a standard for quality assurance and quality control on reports, papers, deliverables and milestones that will be generated during FLOATFARM. Furthermore, the present document defines the project governance structure, the decision-making process and the quality management tools that will ensure that the work related to FLOATFARM matches the sought standards.
  • D8.1 Plan for dissemination and exploitation including communication activities (PDEC): The aim of this document is to provide the first version of the PDEC, produced at M6 as part of Work Package 8 on dissemination, communication and exploitation. The objective of the PDEC is to provide the FLOATFARM partners with guidelines on the different communication and dissemination activities that are planned and their schedule, who are the partners responsible for each activity, what tools and channels are available for dissemination and what are the actions planned to achieve the exploitation of the results and impact of the project.
  • D9.4 Data Management Plan: This deliverable is the first version of the Data Management Plan (DMP) of the FLOATFARM project, submitted in month 6. The aim of the document is to describe the data that are expected to be collected, generated or processed within the framework of the project, as well as the policy and management plan for their use.
